Policy Collection Project

The Florida Bioethics Network seeks to share exemplars of institutional policies. These are offered as educational tools to support the development of such policies at hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Proper creation and revision of institutional policies is an ongoing process. It should be informed by adequate knowledge, research and consultation with salient stakeholders and experts. Policies should be revised regularly.

The FBN provides no warranty or attestation of suitability or fitness for purpose of the documents here. They must be assessed independently by any institution seeking to use or adapt any of them. The models provide neither medical nor legal advice. Institutions seeking such advice should contact appropriate medical experts and/or legal counsel. Use of any of the policies here constitutes perpetual indemnification of the FBN and its affiliated institutions from any and all liability arising from that use.

Institutions willing to share their ethics policies should contact FBN@med.miami.edu.
